BB Round-up – Liverpool cull, Spurs and Toon battle for Gameiro, Hammers bid won’t affect the transfer budgets

Tottenham and Manchester United booked their passage through to the Champions League knock out stages with a relatively straight forward victory last night. Harry Redknapp has called upon his Tottenham side to go on and win the group, so to avoid any of the big guns in the next stage.

In the papers this morning there has been a mixed bag of stories from clearouts at Liverpool; West Ham reiterating there are no dangers with their Olympic bid , while Sam Allardyce has been told to liven it up at Ewood Park.
